
Scott Hatten
Lead Pastor
Scott is the Lead Pastor of the Jesup Church of God. He has served in this capacity since November of 2020. He and his wife Janet, have served as youth pastors for nearly 20 years, nine of which were here at the Jesup Church of God. Pastor Scott was also the Senior pastor of the Vienna Church of God for four years before returning to Jesup as lead pastor. He is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God and he served four years on the State Youth Board. His greatest passion is to see people come to know Jesus as Savior, and to cultivate a deeper relationship with Jesus. Scott and Janet have two children, Justin and Katie, and three amazing grandchildren; Adeline, Jett, and Jaxx.

Jessie D. Pate
Music Pastor
Jessie joined the ministry of JCOG as our new Worship Pastor in September of 2021. He has over 11 years of ministry experience throughout the Church of God in North Georgia & Alabama. Jessie and his wife Katie believe that worship is lifestyle and Sunday is meant to be a celebration of the goodness of God. Jessie, Katie, and their daughter Logan, join the JCOG family from Alabama where they served for 8 years. We believe the best is yet to come for the Music & Worship at JCOG!

Alex Wandless
Youth Pastor
Alex serves as our Youth Pastor. He and his wife Rebekah have three children. Alex has over 10 years of full time youth ministry experience in the Church of God in North & South Georgia. Alex and Rebekah believe that youth ministry is about making disciples not dependents. Because of this, they strive to create an environment that is discipling and releasing disciple-makers. Students can expect to find a welcoming, fun, relevant and Christ centered environment geared toward this generation's needs.
Sylvia Phillips
Children's Pastor
Sylvia is currently serving on our Pastoral leadership team as our Children’s Pastor. She has over 20 years of ministry experience throughout the Church of God in North & South Georgia. Sylvia, David and their 6 children believe ministry is for the whole family and they are all actively involved. It is Sylvia's desire to share God's Word in a way that creates teachable moments for children. She brings music, drama and dance into children's ministry to provide an opportunity for children to discover that giftings and to use their talents for Christ.
